Media conference on investment promotion in central highlands

The second conference on investment promotion in the Central Highland region will be held on April 12, 2013, according to a media briefing in Pleiku city on Monday. The conference is being organized by the Steering Committee for the Central Highlands, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the State Bank of Vietnam and Gia Lai provincial People’s Committee. About 500 delegates, including Vietnamese officials and foreign investors, are expected to attend the conference. Tran Viet Hung, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for the Central Highlands, said: “This year’s conference will show central and local commitments to boosting constant and effective investment into the Central Highlands. It also shows the strong support by the World Bank and the Ministry of Planning and Investment in capital allocation for public investment projects and promoting public investment. We pledge to improve our policies and create favorable environment for investors.”
