At the reception, the representative of Korea Land & Housing Corporation extended his pleasure to know that Hue is a popular destination of South Korean visitors and investors. The representative of Korea Land & Housing Corporation hoped that Thua Thien Hue province would continue promoting its potential to develop tourism and high-tech industry. Korea Land & Housing is a Government-invested Corporation operating in the fields of constructing and developing smart city in South Korea. The Corporation would like to sign the Memorandum of Understanding with Thua Thien Hue province to promote mutual benefit by sharing techniques and experience in establishing South Korea - Vietnam cooperative economic zone ran under the management of Thua Thien Hue province in Chan May - Lang Co economic zone.
Speaking at the reception, Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho highly appreciated the cooperation expectation of Korea Land & Housing Corporation. Chairman emphasized that Thua Thien Hue province would facilitate and welcome enterprises looking for investment opportunity in the province. Chairman kindly informed that Chan May - Lang Co economic zone is the coastal economic zone which is particularly interested by Vietnamese Government. At present, the province is focusing on developing marine economic infrastructure, Chan May urban area and high-tech industrial zone. These are also the strong fields of South Korean enterprises in general and Korea Land & Housing Corporation in particular.
Chairman assigned the Management Board of Economic and Industrial Zone to cooperate and discuss with the representative of Korea Land & Housing Corporation about the Memorandum of Understanding. In an attempt to further develop local social-economic development, Chairman reminded the Management Board of detail contents and specific categories to later establish South Korea - Vietnam cooperative economic zone in Chan May - Lang Co economic zone.
