On December 3rd 2018, the Procurement Division of Doosan Vina launched the “Doosan Vina Supplier Association.”
Doosan Vina has completed 12 years of construction and development in Vietnam and this step will continue our ongoing efforts to share our international knowledge, expertise and network with Vietnamese companies.
Attending the establishment ceremony were representatives of 11 suppliers that included: Central Area Electrical Mechanical Joint Stock Company (CEMC); Chien Thang Engineering & Construction Company Limited; Huynh Duc Company Limited in Da Nang; INUS Tech Company Limited; Khanh Nguyen One Member Limited Liability Company; Nui Thanh Mechanical Only Member Company Limited; OGS One Member Limited Liability Company; Prones Joint Stock Company; Chu Lai - Truong Hai Mechanical Engineering Company Limited (CMC); VIVA-BLAST (VIỆT NAM) Company Limited; Steel Structure Manufacture Joint Stock Company VNECO.SSM which have collaborated and worked with Doosan Vina from early on.
Doosan Vina’s goals for the Supplier Association have four key objectives.
1) Strengthen Competitiveness
With the signing of this long-term partnership agreement, Doosan Vina will work to share expertise in: Technical Matters, Management and Operational Procedures as well as offering incentives to help the suppliers maximize their investment and help grow and stabilize their businesses by becoming more efficient and competitive.
2) To work towards sustainable development by sharing and cooperating
Through the presentation, demonstration and teaching of practical and proven operational solutions Doosan Vina will be able to improve development and sustainability of the association members.
3) Development and Business Expansion
The association will also be offered opportunities to expand their business through introductions to other B2B’s that work with Doosan Vina.
4) Social Responsibility
Co-operation on mutually beneficial Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs that will help association members become more integrated into the social fabric and society of Vietnam.
After signing the Memorandum of Understanding with the 11 members of the Association, Kang Sanghyung, Director of the Procurement Division at Doosan Vina said, "We selected you to join us and that is because we appreciate your ability and quality. Thanks to reputable suppliers like you we have created many quality products with the "Made in Vietnam" label that are now at work in 33 countries around the world. I hope the establishment of this association will be a milestone that marks the beginning of a long-term relationship that will help maximize your profits, promote economic growth and increase Vietnamese products for both the domestic and international market."
Speaking for the Suppliers Association, Do Minh Tam, Director of CMC said: "Joining Doosan Vina’s Supplier Association is a great honor for all of us. With the agreement today and the commitments which we have made I am sure we can strengthen our businesses and the relationship further. This will enhance the competitiveness and benefits to all parties.
